Day 2 / (Shimla-Kufri Local sightseeing)
It's the day to witness the true beauty of Shimla and nearby places. You can have your delicious breakfast. Get ready for the local Shimla excursion. First, you can visit popular tourist attractions - Kufri, Green Valley, the Indian Institute of Advanced Studies, and the famous Jakhoo Temple / Sankat Mochan Temple of Shimla. Kufri is famous for its snow-fun adventure activities, and Green Valley for its soothing vibe, its heaven for a nature lover. The institute will give an insight into the history of Shimla. Jakhoo temple is famous for its tall Hanuman statue. You can head back to Shimla and visit the most happening place - Mall Road. Mall Road is ideal for shopping and eating street food. Later, you can visit places like - Ridge, The Christ Church of Shimla, The Gaiety Theatre building, and the Scandal point of Shimla to get an insight into Shimla. The drive to Manali will be wonderful amid the green valleys and splendid views. On the way to Manali, you can stop at popular attractions like - Sundernagar, Mandi, Pandoh Dam, Hanogi Devi temple, and Kullu. The drive from Mandi to Manali along the Beas River is enchanting. Pandoh Dam is an ideal place to stop for tea or lunch break. You can then visit Hanogi Devi temple to seek blessings. Kullu is famous for its shawl-making factories, and you can visit a particular factory to see how these traditional shawls are woven. On reaching Manali, you can check into your hotel and freshen up. The beauty of Rohtang Pass is unmatched - with scenic views of snow-clad peaks and mountains. You can see the mighty Himalayan belt from the place. After which, you can head to Solang Valley via Koksar, Sissu, and Atal tunnel.
