Day 3 / (Thimphu to Punakha – Gateway to Serenity)
Highlights: Scenic drive to Punakha via the breathtaking Dochula Pass, offering views of snow-capped Himalayan peaks. Stop at the 108 Chortens, a memorial of peace and victory. Discover the majestic Punakha Dzong, Bhutanās most beautiful fortress at the confluence of two rivers. Take a peaceful hike to Chimi Lhakhang, the "Temple of Fertility." Trek to Tigerās Nest Monastery. Embark on an exhilarating trek to the iconic Taktsang Monastery (Tiger's Nest), perched dramatically on a cliff. Soak in the spiritual ambiance and breathtaking vistas of the Paro Valley. Visit the serene Kyichu Lhakhang, one of Bhutanās oldest temples. Optional: Indulge in a rejuvenating traditional hot stone bath. Overnight: Paro.
